He settles the childless woman in her home as a happy mother of children. —Psalm 113:9

Thursday Thirteen #6: Quotable Buffy Edition

Thirteen Lines from Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Notice I didn't say favorite lines, because that would be impossible to choose. To keep this short and sweet, I kept myself mostly to one-liners (although I cheated a little), leaving out dialog exchanges and big speeches.

Interactivity Bonus: I'll send a Dancing Lessons: War! soundtrack CD to the first person to correctly identify the speaker and episode for each quote.

1. Well, this is just...neat.

2. Go monkey! Choose monkey!

3. The who whatting how with the huh?

4. No, sir, no more chick pit for you.

5. I mock you with my monkey pants!

6. I may be love's bitch, but at least I'm man enough to admit it.

7. I like the quiet.

8. It's a ritual sacrifice, with pie.

9. That'll put marzipan in your pie plate, bingo!

10. Don't taunt the fear demon.

11. Check. No more butt-monkey.

12. Hecate hates that!

13. Poor Watcher, did your life flash before your eyes? Cuppa tea, cuppa tea, almost got shagged, cuppa tea?

1. Spike, Halloween
2. Anya, Into the Woods
3. Buffy, Intervention (But the best part, and most hindsight irony worthy part, is Xander's response when he tells her that they aren't judging her since Spike is all compact and mysterious and stuff).
4. Riley, Buffy vs. Dracula (Oh Giles and the vamp babes!)
5. Oz, What's My Line Part 2 (definitely my favorite Oz quote)
6. Spike, Lover's Walk (what self respecting Spike fan doesn't know that?)
7. Xander, The Zeppo (that one was tough for me)
8. Anya, Pangs (and so true)
9. Buffybot, Bargaining Part 1
10. Giles, Fear Itself (Who's a little fear demon?)
11. Buffy, Buffy vs. Dracula
12. Willow, Him ( a very bizarre little episode...like they wrote it before they figured out it was the last season)
13. Spike, Bargaining Part 1

Great quotes! But what's Dancing Lessons? I'm not following, lol.

I sent my addy to the gmail account you have listed with blogger. Yay for Spuffy themed mail!

And Daphne, Dancing Lessons was an epic 3-part novel length Spuffy fanfic that Sparkle Motion directed and co-authored with several other Spuffy writers. It was so awesome, that it had it's own soundtrack (which would be why I worked so hard on answering the quotes challenge so that I could win me one of those shiny disks!).

I was always a Buffy/Angel fan (cookie dough!), but maybe I'll give it a read. Where can I find it? :-)

Daphne - you can start reading the archived version here. Use the green arrows to navigate forward through the entries.

Alternatively, you can go to archive.org and past this URL into the wayback machine: http://randomthought.addr.com/redemptionista

It's aggressively pro-Spike/Buffy, it's very long, and the last part of the trilogy isn't finished (and probably never will be). But there's still some good readin' there, if you're up to it.

Oh, it's not finished? I really hate reading stories that aren't done. Thanks anyway! :-)

Shoot, Valerie, I keep forgetting to bring your CDs to work with me. I am large with the sucking.

Tomorrow I will mail them, I SWEAR.
