He settles the childless woman in her home as a happy mother of children. —Psalm 113:9

Gleh.

I'm barely a step above Zombie Jean today. Matt and I went out for a real date yesterday, leaving at 9 am to catch a morning matinee of Superman Returns (which I'll discuss at length once my brain's up and running at full speed) and didn't end up getting home until after 11 pm. It was closer to midnight by the time I crawled into bed. Matt, the wuss*, called in sick and stayed home today, but I, still being a lowly temp-to-hire, have no such luxury, so here I am. I expected a slow, do-nothing day, with most of the folks on my team taking a vacation day and giving me plenty of time to finish the parts of Friday's projects that didn't have to be done by that evening (and I was out of here by 7 that night, btw; not as late as I had anticipated, so that was nice), but the people who did show up today actually need my help getting stuff done. As long as that stuff is limited to making and mailing copies and doesn't involve any actual thinking, I should be able to handle it.

*In his defense, he did consume way more beer and junk food than I did, and managed to get even less sleep, so "sick" was really a pretty accurate adjective for him this morning.
