Feeling better today, finally. Which means that now I have to scramble to get all of the work done that I neglected when about all I could do was sit here and whimper, and do it before I have to escape early and flee home before the sky barfs ice all over our highways. On my lunch hour I'm going to have to skip the gym (again) and go stock up on essentials, like brandy and spices for some mulled wine. Or candles and milk. Depends how you define "essential."
The weather people tend to be alarmists, but then again sometimes with these things they're guilty of understatement, so I'm expecting to be stuck at home for at least a few days. Hopefully, we won't lose our power. If we do, then I guess we'll open up our door so the heat from the fireplace can reach our part of the house, let Fizzgigg and the felines (they should start their own band with that name) sleep in our bed, break out the grill we got for our wedding, and get plenty of reading and writing and knitting done. Or a lot of trying to figure out how to convert the Game of Thrones board game Matt got me for Christmas into a two player game. Either way, I'm sure we'll make our own fun.

Hmm, you are feeling better and me? Not so much. I'm at work and it is definitely winter here. It's only about 18 degrees today. And I walk to work (school) with my younger son. Brrrrr and brrrrr. I was bundled up like Randy in "A Christmas Story".
*whines* I wanna snuggle in bed all weekend. *major pout on top of the whine*
Hope the weathermen are wrong, and we get snow instead of ice. The GoT board game sounds intriguing. What a unique gift.
Manoah - aw, sweetie, I'm feelin' ya. That truly sucks. Just think, though, how much character it's building for the Spare. He'll have plenty of "When I was your age, I walked to school in the freezing cold" stories to tell his kids someday. *hugs* Hope you feel better soon.
Bojo - I don't know about up there, but here we got a little bit of snow mixed in with a whole lotta ice. It's still coming down, too. I don't anticipate being able to leave the house any time soon. Hope you and the Bojo clan are staying warm.
The GoT game looks cool - it appears to be based on Risk, but for some reason requires at least three players, which is kind of a bummer seeing as how Matt and I are the only local people we know who read those books and care enough to play a game based on them. Even so, it's still very pretty to look at.
