He settles the childless woman in her home as a happy mother of children. —Psalm 113:9

Hand and wrist still hurty. Still lots to write. No brace yet. Boo.

So, we had a pretty fabulous weekend. Saturday was gorgeous, weather-wise, and it was almost a shame to spend a couple hours' worth of it cooped up in a movie theater. We walked out of 300 with mixed feelings between us--I liked it okay, he didn't like it so much. I went in expecting two hours of eye candy and mindless violence, and my expectations were happily met. He went in hoping for a good, well-crafted story, and he felt sorely disappointed. Of course, he's taking a film appreciation class right now, and his analytical brain is switched permanently to ON; whereas I was much too distracted by all the pretty man flesh to analyze anything that didn't have to do with Gerard Butler's six-pack. So there you go.

After the movie, we checked out a new (to us) sushi restaurant. I don't think I have any readers in the Tulsa area, but just in case, if you ever make it to Asahi, I heartily recommend the Asahi Roll #2. The spider rolls are also pretty darn yummy. We got a little carried away with the ordering and ended up having a somewhat more extravagant meal than we intended, but it was a special occasion, and that was some damn fine sushi, so I'm not going to fret about it. It'll just set my laptop fund back another month, is all.

After dinner we hit Barnes & Noble, where I REFRAINED from buying any new books, thankyouverymuch, and then we headed home, first making a detour to the grocery store to pick up some ice cream, and then we snuggled up on the couch, ate said ice cream, and watched Jaws on the Chiller channel until I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore. All in all, it was a pretty good bi-anniversary date.

Now, I'm going to find something to do that doesn't involve typing, or moving my right hand too much. That something might involve eating some Sunchips, 'cause I found a dollar, and I'm still craving them like whoa.
