Looks like I'm gonna get a nasty stomach virus for my birthday. Woo! Par-TAY!
When I came home last night, Matt was complaining that he felt tired and achey, and his tummy was ishy. He went to bed, and about an hour later he was out of it again and in the bathroom praying to the porcelain god. After a couple of hours of that and other fun stomach issues, he felt better for about thirty minutes before he started running a high fever. I was up all night caring for him, and he's still in a pretty bad way today, so I called in sick so I could stay home and take care of him. It looks like that turned out to be a good thing, because, guess what? I'm tired and achey, and my tummy is ishy. Man, I can't wait for the vomiting to begin!
Looks like my birthday pedicure and shopping date with my mom tomorrow is called off. Here's hoping Matt and I will both feel well enough to go out Saturday like we'd planned.
Anyway. I signed on from my mom's dial-up to check e-mail and pay my bills, and figured I should post a note letting y'all know why I'll be silent for the next few days. Tomorrow was a work holiday anyway, so at least I won't need to bother calling in.
Now, I'm going to crawl into bed and wait for the fun times to begin. Have a great weekend, everybody (it's bound to be better than mine), and Happy Easter to those who celebrate it.

Happy birthday wishes and get well wishes combined times one hundred!
Perhaps the Buffy comic will make you feel better? I can't wait to read your thoughts and inferences on this crazy new issue...
Oh, worshipping at the throne of the porcelain god is not the way to spend a birthday. So sorry for the rotten timing.
Take care of yourself and enjoy your birthday in style later on.
Poor Baby! I'm so sorry you and the hubby are feeling poorly. I hope you both feel better soon.
And Happy Birthday darlin'!!!!!
:smoochies:
Valerie - Would you believe I haven't read it yet? I didn't even get to pick it up from the shop until Friday, and since I promised my husband that we'd read it together, we haven't had time to sit down and do so. If I go much longer I'm afraid I'll have to surrender my Buffy fan cred.
Bojo - No, and I'm so very thankful it didn't come to that. But at least it would have made for a memorable birthday.
Manoah - Thanks, although I didn't end up feeling nearly as poorly as he did, thank goodness. At least we got an extended weekend out of it.
Thanks for the birthday wishes, everybody.
