He settles the childless woman in her home as a happy mother of children. —Psalm 113:9

Ow. And meow.

CAG called in sick again. So far today hasn't been too bad, busy-wise. It was touch and go right after she called in and I started getting all kinds of interruptions, but I managed to stay focused enough to exceed my daily word quota and finish another chapter. The rest of the day I'm just gonna play by ear, because there's no telling how much I'll be needed by her team today.

Relatedly, I  my relatively low-maintenance project team.

I did so well yesterday in both the eating right and exercising departments that I think I can legitimately take a no-guilt gym skip day to give my sore, overworked muscles time to recover. At least this will give me another hour to work on more personal stuff, which will come in handy if the rest of the day turns too busy.

I'm so very sleepy. Nibblet's developed a really bad habit of sitting outside the pet gate and meowing at the top of her lungs in the middle of the night. I lost count of how many times she woke us up last night. I think Matt's about ready to murder her, and I'm not too far behind him. I pray for her sake that soon we can move into a house with doors that can't be popped open with a single determined kitty head butt and a room far away from our bedroom where we can shut her up at night. I'm about ready to cave and just start letting her sleep in our room with us. She's always a pain in the ass when that happens, but at least she's a quiet pain in the ass.

Did I mention how glad I am that this is a short work week? Well, I am. Really glad.
