If you agree with my (spoilerificent) rant about Grey's Anatomy, then this blog post by Shonda Rhimes, about her reasons behind some of the last season's creative choices and where it's all going, might make you feel better. About some things, at least. But probably not so much about Izzie.
I still liked her better when she was an alien.

Ok, her post made me feel an itsy, bitsy bit better.
But the whole Izzie/George thing will never work for me. Maybe if it had been George and not Alex who picked Izzie up and carried her after they found Denny dead I could see a more romantic connection there. But I don't.
And I want to know Alex's story...we know almost nothing about him.
But I really do like the reverse parallels between Bailey and Callie. That was interesting.
You know, I could even buy Izzie & George if they let it develop slowly and organically, and let George's marriage dissolve under the weight of its own flaws, without Izzie actively working to destroy it. It's not the idea of them together that I hate so much as the way it's being handled. I just can't get behind an adultery storyline (probably why I never rooted for D&M), and besides, Izzie's being selfish and manipulative, and I expect better from her. Now I just want Callie to kick her ass. And she could, too.
PS - yes, Alex. He's becoming by and large one of my favorites. I'll keep watching for his sake, if nothing else.
