MyNoEdMo Progress: Day 1

The first day was a little touch and go. I got through the first scene first thing in the morning, but then I put it away to do my work and didn't get back to it until 9 PM when everything in me rebelled against rewriting parts of Scene 15 and just wanted to go get in bed and read. But I persevered and got it done, and now I'm two scenes closer to a polished manuscript. Feels good.

Today's plan: Scene 16 (simple edits) & 17 (new scene). I'm a little intimidated by having to write an entire new scene today, especially since I'm also trying to finish a template for a client. The success of the former will depend largely on how well the latter goes and how much time I need to spend getting it done. I also overslept by more than an hour this morning, which is seriously cutting into my schedule. Ah, well, I'll just do the best I can. This right here is why I left room for flexibility toward the end of the month.

You got your listed goals done, that's a great way to start.

I'm a little behind on the day, with well losing both power and cell service for an hour, I'm just a little rattled. By the evening (my regular writing time) I should be back to what I call "normal."

Good luck on the day!
