After lunch today the entire office is effectively shutting down to attend a mandatory "Town Hall Meeting" and hear our new CEO speak and answer questions. I... don't have any questions. These things rarely if ever address anything pertaining to the administrative staff. I'm wondering how easy it will be to sneak out and come back to work after I've put in my obligatory appearance.
At any rate, I'm planning to take my notebook along and give the appearance of taking painstaking notes while actually getting some work done on the novel. I just hope nobody asks to read my notes later. I kind of doubt that they would. It's not like there's going to be a test.

We had an hour-and-a-half catch up meeting (since the office has been closed due to rotten weather), and I just wanted to hide at my desk. Meh.
